I have always been a fan of skylines. As a kid, when my family took vacations to a variety of major cities, I always enjoyed staring at hulking skyscrapers, connected in a way, and a representation of power and pride.
I got a chance to get a quick shot of Philadelphia while I was in Center City for my internship. It doesn't do the entire skyline justice, but the view is still incredible for me.
Above is a professional shot of the city of Detroit. The way the images of the buildings are reflected by the water, coupled with the night shot, make the picture look amazing. The amount of light really adds a lot to the image itself, and the focus seems to be on the center of the photo where it is brightest.
