Cemeteries-Post #5

I came across this photograph as I was searching around looking for different kinds of cemeteries on the Web. The inspiration for that search was my rediscovery of the cemetery behind Commonwealth.  I thought this photo was pretty amazing, especially the way the eye follows the curves of the cross tombstones.  The large trees provide a good separation from some of the rows of tombstones in the middle ground of the photo, but the sheer number and visual impact the rows of crosses have, really popped out to me.
This was a photo I took in B&W of the cemetery behind commonwealth and the church, on the opposite side of Main Street.  Although I acknowledge the fact that the cross tombstone photo is far more visually stimulating, I find cemeteries in general to be a very unique and interesting area to take photographs.  I wanted to create an effect similar to the photo on top, with the depth and number of tombstones within the photo feeling almost unlimited.  The shadows within my picture added something that I am not sure I actually planned for originally, but due to the time of day and angle which I took the photo, added a very interest aspect to the eeriness of the photo.
