lines and street lights
This first photo is Lee Friedlander's. While out taking photographs for the Collegeville Document, I attempted to recreate this image, focusing on the use of vertical lines in the photos.
Although my picture ended up vertical (I took some horizontal ones too, but this one looked the best), I still attempted to use the posts in the photo, and even the shadows of those posts, to create interesting lines. Also, the posts are used to frame the man in the statue of liberty outfit. These lines draw the viewers eye into the photo to this man, similar to how Friedlander's draws the viewers eyes to the house in the background.
