Post #5- Color

I was attracted by the fact that the color was the main focus of the photograph rather than the flower itself.  Nothing is truly in focus, which makes it almost like a watercolor.  The flowers in the background are completely out of focus, only recognizable for their unique and powerful color. 

I took the below photograph of flowers I bought.  I made the photograph slightly more focused than the above, but I still preferred the softer focus.  The flower create a more solid plane as opposed to the above.  My photograph still focuses on the color rather than the actual flowers because of the softer focus and contrast between the purple and yellow flowers.
