I took this picture at the entrance of a subway in Philadelphia. I wanted the Patco pole to frame the photograph. I also chose to show only one steps going down because I liked the darkness and mysterious element and decided to included more of the street.
This picture from the internet is of a subway entrance in New York City. This picture shows more to the viewer and is taken looking down the stairs. I like how the railings of the subway are on either side of the frame and move the views eye down the steps.
