Empty Room

This is the current state of my common room. Within the past week we had our pong table taken from us and our giant futon removed. Since both of those have been taken away the common doesn't have it's normal 'homey' feeling. There's a lot of open space and everyone comments on how it looks like we're moving in or something. I think this picture captures the open space and emptiness of the current setup. This doesn't really look like somewhere you would want to call home.

The following is a photo I found online called "empty house old tube tv light poltergeist" by a blogging artist named Michael Tyson who has their own website http://www.trashsociety.com/. I posted this in response to my photo because I think they both express the same thing. They both have a large window near the center that lets in a blinding amount of light. The couch and T.V. are both complementary items that you would put in a room to make it nicer but when left alone they both look small and insignificant. There's a very empty feeling to both. While my photo has more color which I think takes away from the blandness, I believe they are very similar.
